Lets hope that 2009 can bring some progress in bringing parents together in Turkey to raise awareness about dyslexia !!
As parents, we can do a lot individually to spread the word about dyslexia by talking to friends, work colleagues, and family about our childs difficulties and explaining about dyslexia .
The New Year has started badly with a world-wide economic crisis.For parents of dyslexic children this makes life harder as they have the extra economic burden of paying for private teachers and /or sessions with pyschologists.
As a result of the non- existent help for dyslexic students in Turkish schools, parents are forced to spend a lot of money on getting their child adequate assistance – no easy task when the economy is bad . !!
