HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!

I think mothers of children who have a learning disability, such as dyslexia, deserve some praise for all the things they do to help their children.

Every mother is ,of course, special in her own way. As we know full well, if you have a child with a disabilty you need to go that “extra mile” (or kilometre) in order to help them !!

Here are some of the extra things that many mums do :

Mums spend a lot of time helping with homework and being a unpaid, voluntary teacher for their child.

They often have to console children when they upset about something which happens at school.

They are the advocate for their child at school in order to make sure that teachers are made aware of their child’s disabilities and problems.

They have often to take children to see psychologists on regular basis and also have to help to pay for private lessons etc ..

HAPPY MUMS DAY TO EVERYONE !!
